The projector will help us bring our group therapy sessions to life by projecting movies, power points and more for the entire group to view. POSITION: Bilingual Outpatient Therapist
The Bilingual Outpatient Therapist position will play an essential role of providing excellent evidence-based and culturally informed psychotherapy interventions to Latinos in North Carolina. El Futuro, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit mental health and substance abuse treatment agency. This is an opportunity to be a part of an energetic, creative and multidisciplinary team and make a difference in the community.
This position is responsible for carrying out clinical duties in an ethical, culturally and empirically informed manner. This includes conducting screening and triage assessments, performing psychosocial and diagnostic assessments, developing effective treatment plans, providing brief case management as well as ongoing brief and/or long-term psychotherapy. The Bilingual Outpatient Therapist will report to the Clinical Director, and will receive clinical supervision from a senior clinician at El Futuro. In summary, the Bilingual Outpatient Therapist works to accomplish El Futuro’s mission to provide excellent mental health services to Latinos in North Carolina.
We are seeking someone who is very committed to working with the Latino community in North Carolina, who is reliable and punctual, with excellent clinical skills. A strong ability to problem solve independently is essential to this position. Strong organizational skills and ability to turn in timely documentation are required.
To perform this job successfully an individual must have a master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field. The candidate must be fully licensed in the state of North Carolina, and must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with diverse populations. Familiarity with the Latin American immigrant community and spoken Spanish are a required.
Salary range: $48,000+
