Bilingual Outpatient Therapists are at the heart of realizing our mission at El Futuro. In this role, the therapist will work with individuals and families in order to reach treatment goals. Of primary importance is carrying out clinical duties in an ethical, high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally-informed manner. This includes conducting clinical consultations, screening, and triage assessments, performing biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments, developing effective treatment plans, providing briefcase management as well as ongoing psychotherapy to children, adults, and families. This position will be office-based, covering both our Durham and Siler City clinics.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about working with the Latino community in North Carolina and who has excellent clinical skills, preferably with experience providing trauma treatment interventions and in working with the Latino population. An ability to problem solve, be flexible, and remain optimistic are essential to this position as are strong organizational skills, ability to turn in timely and accurate documentation, and a commitment for working collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team.
Eligible candidates will hold a master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field. The candidate is required to be licensed or be eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina in their field of clinical practice and must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with diverse populations. Familiarity with the Latin American immigrant community and spoken Spanish are required.
