Est\u00e1n recibiendo donaciones para las familias en la frontera y organizando una vigilia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[DURHAM, NC\u2014DEC. 19, 2019]\u00a0 El Futuro, Scrap Exchange, Las Caridades Cat\u00f3licas y la Iglesia de Cristo de Cole Mill Road est\u00e1n trabajando en equipo para donar nueva o ropa ligeramente usada de invierno para las familias inmigrantes quienes est\u00e1n varadas en la frontera de M\u00e9xico y USA durantes esta \u00e9poca de fiestas. Las organizaciones van a transportar las donaciones a Las Caridades Cat\u00f3licas en El Valle de\u00a0 R\u00edo Grande Humanitarian Respite Center en Caravana y estar\u00e1n entregando las provisiones al d\u00eda siguiente de Navidad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Las Caridades Cat\u00f3licas Humanitarian Respite Center est\u00e1 localizado en la frontera de M\u00e9xico y USA provee refugio para las familias descanso, comida y ropa limpia asi como tambien reciben medicamentos y otros suministros. Ellos nos han expresado desesperadamente que necesitan ropa de invierno para compartirles a las familias.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cNosotros no podemos olvidar el sufrimiento que est\u00e1 pasando en la frontera\u201d dice Maria Luisa Solis quien emigr\u00f3 de M\u00e9xico y ahora vive en Carolina del Norte\u00a0 \u201cMi coraz\u00f3n est\u00e1 con las madres, padres, y ni\u00f1os que pasar\u00e1n la Navidad este a\u00f1o lejos de sus familias\u201d. Tim Wood vive en Cedar Grove y asiste a la Iglesia de Cristo de Cole Mill Road. \u201cDespu\u00e9s de todo lo que hemos escuchado en las noticias de este a\u00f1o y el desastre que est\u00e1 pasando en la frontera, es dif\u00edcil celebrar la Navidad sin hacer algo para ayudar\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estaremos organizando una vigilia en nombre de todos los que sufren en la frontera y en los campamentos de refugio en todo el mundo. The organizations will transport items to The Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley\u2019s Humanitarian Respite Center in a caravan, which deploys the day after Christmas.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Catholic Charities\u2019 Humanitarian Respite Center is located on the Mexico-US border to provide a place of refuge for families to rest, have a warm meal, shower, change into clean clothes, as well as receive medicine and other supplies. They have expressed desperate need of warm winter clothing to share with the families.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\"We cannot forget the suffering happening at our border,\" says Maria Luisa Solis who immigrated from Mexico and now lives in North Carolina. \"My heart goes out to the mothers, fathers and children who are spending Christmas this year far away from their families.\" Tim Wood lives in Cedar Grove and attends the Cole Mill Road Church of Christ. \"After all we've heard in the news this year about the mess at the border, it was hard to celebrate Christmas without doing something to help out.\"<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A candlelight vigil for all those suffering on the border and in refugee camps around the world will be held in the El Futuro therapeutic garden on December 25 at 5:30pm.
