Bilingual TeleHealth Therapist (Part-time)

El Futuro is currently hiring a Part-time Bilingual TeleHealth Therapist, 20 hours per week, to provide therapy services to clients in various locations in North Carolina via video-based technology for seasonal farmworkers and their families. This position will offer services to clients in the late evening two to three evenings per week. This position will use a targeted treatment model of therapy and will include model specific supervision.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about working with the Latino community in North Carolina and who has excellent clinical skills, preferably with experience providing trauma treatment interventions and in working with the Latino population. An ability to problem solve, be flexible and remain optimistic are essential to this position as are strong organizational skills, ability to turn in timely and accurate documentation and a commitment for working collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team.
Eligible candidates will hold a master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology or related field. The candidate is required to be licensed or be eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina in their field of clinical practice and must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with diverse populations. Familiarity with the Latin American immigrant community and spoken Spanish are required.
Monday – Flexible
Wednesday – 12:00pm-8:00pm
Thursday – 3:00pm-8:00pm
Friday – 9:00am-11:00am, rest of day flexible
Provide tele-behavioral health counseling services including conducting clinical assessments, individual treatment sessions and consultations via video-based technology to clients located at specific program sites and locations.
Provide follow-up case management for identified tele-therapy clients.
Maintain and submit accurate and timely documentation of clinical and programmatic services.
Follow established work-flow and data tracking procedures, per program site.
Participate actively in biweekly model specific group supervision.
Participate in weekly Telehealth Site Huddle Meeting(s).
Participate in TeleFuturo team meetings as required.
Adhere to schedule as outlined by the agency which will include late evenings and possible weekend hours.
Required: Fluency in spoken Spanish. Must also be able to read and communicate with clients in written Spanish. In addition, must be able to document clinical encounters in English.
Required: Provider must be eligible to practice as a licensed mental health provider in the state of North Carolina. This includes candidates with an LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or LPA. We will accept associate level providers depending on the type of supervision needed.
Required: Ability to work late evenings and weekend hours as needed to meet program needs.
Knowledge base of effective distance counseling interventions, and a willingness to learn further interventions when appropriate.
Strong clinical skills, including in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, triage, crisis management, and case management.
Capacity for independent decision making within established procedures and protocols.
Commitment to provision of trauma-informed, culturally-responsive services.
Prefer experience with short-term/targeted treatment modalities.
Prefer comfort level with video-conferencing technology.
Demonstrated enthusiasm about working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Flexibility, creativity and a spirit of collaboration.
