Clinical Supervisor (Mentes Fuertes)

Facelys grew up in the Dominican Republic and relocated to the U.S. at the age of 16. She earned her BA in Psychology from SUNY University at Albany and her Master of Social Work from Walden University. For over a decade, Facelys has dedicated her work to serving the Latinx community in various capacity throughout Wake and Durham Counties in North Carolina. Facelys is passionate about supporting children and families through a lens of cultural humility, and person-centered approach. With experience working with diverse populations, she brings a warm, relational approach to therapy—creating space for healing, growth, and empowerment. At El Futuro, she proudly serves the Latinx community and works to make mental health services more accessible and inclusive. Facelys is a proud mother to two wonderful children who keep her on her toes. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and cherishes quality time with her family.
