Julian Rodriguez

Community Mental Health Worker

Julian was born in Medellin, Colombia where he graduated as a dentist with a master’s degree in epidemiology from CES University. He worked as a public health dentist for 15 years, focusing on improving the oral health of low-income populations. Driven by a strong sense of service and community commitment, he successfully led patient safety programs and early health education campaigns for parents. These initiatives helped prevent oral diseases from an early age and promoted healthy habits within families. In 2019 he moved to the U.S, and after five years of working to establish himself in the country, he found in El Futuro a meaningful opportunity to contribute his professional experience and strong commitment to service in support of the Hispanic community of North Carolina.
In his free time, Julian loves to play with his two boys with whom he shares the passion for soccer and movies. “I really enjoyed reading Agatha Christie’s books and listening to Carlos Vives Songs, my favorite song is Amor Sensible.”
