She was born in Honduras, San Pedro Sula. She came to the US when she was just 8 years old. She was raised and lived major of her young adult life in the Sunshine State Miami, Florida. When she turned 18 yrs she decided to move to California with no family, just a bag full of hope and eagerness to explore new things. Then, she worked as a nanny for a beautiful family for 3 yrs and they relocated to Virginia, Fairfax so she decided to come along with them.  She met her husband and now they have 3 beautiful girls together. Meury is a fighter! she survived cancer 6 years ago after 22 rounds of chemotherapy, she says “I learn and gain so much compassion for humanity thru this experience with cancer, I want to help and found myself working as intake coordinator where I screen all their new patient to get them to see therapist or psychiatrist.” She came to El Futuro for the same motivation, to help my Latino community.
