Cierra Cook
Consultation & Technical Assistance Project Manager
Cierra was born and raised in Michigan and moved to North Carolina in 2020. She received her bachelor’s degree in International Business and Spanish and her master’s degree in English, both from Central Michigan University. She completed part of her undergraduate studies in Alicante, Spain to improve her Spanish language skills. Between her undergraduate and graduate degrees, Cierra also spent time teaching English in Madrid, Spain. Prior to joining El Futuro, she worked with organizations across North Carolina to promote and improve access to food for underserved communities. Cierra is passionate about equitable access to basic human needs, including mental health support. She is thrilled to join El Futuro in serving the Latinx community in her new home state. Outside of work, Cierra enjoys reading, writing fiction, and any kind of outdoor activity, especially hiking and backpacking.
