Faruhk Ayala Seron
Outpatient Therapist
Born in Lima, Peru, just before turning 6, he and his mom moved to Fayetteville, NC to his aunt and uncle’s home. He would stay in the Fayetteville area until 2019 when he graduated high school and enrolled in NC State. Fayetteville differed from Lima, but also contrasted starkly with Raleigh. This diverse experience of class and environment planted a seed in him to seek an explanation for the inequities the communities that built him faced, both in Lima and Fayetteville. During undergrad Faruhk worked a few sales roles, meanwhile witnessing the effects of the pandemic and the mobilization of Black, Indigenous, and Latine liberation efforts in 2020 and beyond. Faruhk completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing in 2022. Faruhk sought clinical social work as an avenue for communal change and healing, finding El Futuro for his 2nd MSW year internship and graduating in May 2024 from NC State again.
