Samuel Marsán Pérez

Clinical Mental Health Trainer

Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Samuel moved to the U.S. at 21—a journey that shaped his passion for serving bilingual and bicultural communities. After completing his B.S. in Psychology at UNC–Chapel Hill and graduate training in Clinical Psychology at Duke University, he developed a generalist approach with a special focus on children and adolescents, particularly in areas of development, autism, eating disorders, gender identity, and family systems. His training at Duke and the University of Texas–Houston provided opportunities to work with diverse families, including Spanish-speaking and military households, and he also earned a Certificate in College Teaching to better support learners with language differences. At El Futuro, he brings these experiences together with a deep love for community engagement. Outside of work, he enjoys volleyball, pickleball, trail walks, salsa dancing, and reading biographies and history.
