Without Attachments (Sin Ataduras), is the name of the clinic’s substance use program, with which we want to make our patients feel valued and respected for the effort they are making during their recovery process. As part of their therapy, we invited them to create gardens on the terraces at the rear of the clinic in Durham, a work led by our landscaping expert, Hector. “We are excited to develop the area and we hope to present plants and herbs such as echinacea, rue, lavender, garlic and others to the community. I also want us to work in a sensory garden,” said Hector with the group of people who were helping at that time.
Just as the plants grow and nourish themselves to become beautiful plants, the members of Sin Ataduras program also grow and become stronger thanks to sessions like these in the therapeutic garden of El Futuro.
